EDITIONS MODEL ON SALE AT STOBART'S As I have reported previously, a number of the Atlas models have subsequently appeared for sale in the Stobart shop in plain packaging. I have been made aware that a model which I have not yet received confirmation of its release by Atlas Editions has been on sale at Stobart's Carlisle for a couple of weeks. The model in question is being sold in plain packaging with the stock code STOB021 and is priced at £19.99, I believe this model when released by Atlas will be model: 4649121 Stobart Rail Scania R560 V8 Low Line Nooteboom Step-Frame Low Loader RV232 Nicola Melissa PX58 BNA If anyone has received this model direct from Atlas Editions please email me to let me know CLICK HERE to email. OF STOBART FEST 2013 ANNOUNCED Stobart's have announced this years Stobart Fest will take place on Saturday 14th September at Carlisle Airport. The following article has appeared in today's Cumberland News and Star: "Stobart Fest will be held at the city’s airport on Saturday, September 14. The event will provide an opportunity for fans to get close to some of the famous Eddie Stobart trucks which have helped make the Channel 5 documentary Eddie Stobart: Trucks & Trailers so successful. It will also be a chance for fans to meet the heroes of the show – the Stobart drivers who were followed by the cameras throughout the length of the UK and Ireland. The truck drivers, about 20 of them, will spend the day meeting fans and signing autographs. Andrew Kidd, sales manager at Eddie Stobart Promotions, said: “We’ve just released the date of the Carlisle Stobart Fest and already excitement is building. “Last year we held our event in Manchester and the year before it was in Northampton, so this year we’ve decided to hold it a bit further north. “Stobart Group has a site at Carlisle Airport so it makes the logistics of it all a bit easier. “The concept of the day is really simple – fans and anyone who watches the TV show can come along and meet the drivers. We tend to have about 20 trucks and 20 drivers taking part and they spend most of the day signing autographs and having their photos taken. “There will probably be some activities as well to keep families entertained.” The company will also be exhibiting at Truckfest South West at Malvern on July 6 and 7 and Truckfest Scotland at Edinburgh on August 3 and 4. There’s also a Stobart Summer Saturday Live Raceday at Newmarket Racecourse on August 24. Stobart Fest will be free and open to members, fans and the general public. There are no tickets but you will need to register and more details about the event and how to register will be available in the coming weeks. Last year 15,000 people attended Stobart Fest over two days. Two years ago, nearly 6,500 Stobart members and fans flocked to the first-ever Stobart Fest at Rockingham Race Circuit in Northamptonshire". Thursday 13th June 2013 |
