The Komatsu Excavator represented by this model (W122) was on display at Stobart Fest earlier this year at Carlisle Airport. I found a photograph on Facebook last evening of the real excavator at Stobart Fest but unfortunately the person who took the photograph was not willing to allow me to use it on the Gallery pages. If you took a photograph of W122 at Stobart Fest and would be happy for me to use it on the Gallery pages please CLICK HERE to email me.

Many thanks to everyone who has written to me over the past few days advising me that their models had arrived and supplying me with details of the first few models in the range. ATLAS MODEL 4649137 SCANIA 143M - BUMBLE BETTE
Further to my News of Saturday 15th November, my model arrived this morning. As with David O'Briens model (thanks also to Keir Scott for advising me that his model was also wrong) my model displays the fleet number and registration number for "Bumble Bette" but the name of "Emily Kim".

The first Stobart spotters fleet book shows the following:
H156 – N156 XAO – Scania R143 Topliner – ESL – Emily Kim
H158 – N158 XAO – Scania R143 Topliner – ESL – Bumble Bette

The model displays the fleet number H158 and registration N158 XAO but the name of fleet number H156. I will see if I can take a photograph of the name under the windscreen which I can confirm is is extremely small font but can be read with a magnifying glass.

CONFIRMED RELEASE FROM ATLAS EDITIONS
Many thanks to David O'Brien for advising me that the latest Atlas Editions model had arrived today. The model should have the following details:
4649137 Scania 143M Short Curtainside - Script Lettering (Classic)
Bumble Bette
Fleet number: H158
Registration number: N158 XAO

However, David advises me that his model carries the name Emily Kim in very tiny letters below the windscreen. All other details are as per Bumble Bette. Is David's model a one off? Can anyone else confirm the name displayed on their model? if you have also received the model, please email me to let me know the name displayed on it CLICK HERE to email me. I suspect the whole batch will be wrong but mine has not arrived yet. When mine arrives if it is also wrong, I will try and take some close-up photographs with my macro lense.

STOBART RAIL - KOMATSU EXCAVATOR - FINALLY ORDERED
After much perseverance and 30 minutes holding earlier this afternoon I finally got through to Atlas Editions Customer services and was able to order the Stobart Rail Excavator. They told me it would be with me within 28 days. You do need to phone Atlas Editions Customer Services as it is a tester model for a possible future collection.  Many thanks to Jonny Kirwan and Kevin Bullions who both informed me that the Customer Services assistant they spoke to referred to a "Stobart Machinery" collection. We will have to wait and see what develops.

I have been asked who is manufacturing the model. I do not know at this time but will make some enquiries. If anyone hears anything please let me know. I suspect we might have to wait until the model arrives and we can see if it has any manufacturer markings.

STOBART RAIL - KOMATSU EXCAVATOR
I have again failed to order one of these again today. After holding for sometime the lady that answered confirmed that I did have to speak to customer services rather than the new order line. She was a lot more helpful than the guy I spoke to yesterday and told me that you have to speak to customer services as the model is a tester for a new range of models and therefore it is not a standard stock item at the moment. Unfortunately by the time I got through, Customer Services had closed for the day. I will try again tomorrow and keep you posted.

NEW STOBART RAIL MODEL ANNOUNCED BY ATLAS EDITIONS
I received an image of a new Atlas Editions model via email today. I do not know the origin of the image so if it is your photograph and you would like me to acknowledge you on the photograph please let me know (email link on Home page).

The flyer CLICK HERE to view, shows a 1:76th scale Komatsu Hydraulic Excavator in the livery of Stobart Rail. The model appears to be the first model in a new range of models and is priced at £2.99 including postage.

I phoned Atlas Editions this afternoon to order one of the models and the guy I spoke to on their Sales line told me he could not take orders and I had to phone their Customer Services Department to place my order. He did not say why I had to do that. I asked if the model was the first in a new series of Stobart models or as I suspect it is the first in a range of crane/diggers etc. The Customer Services agent told me he could not give me that information and I would have to ask Customer Services. I will try again tomorrow and let you know if I learn more about the model.
